It's nearly Spring!

Well! What an action packed term we have had so far.

Pirates of the Curry Bean
Rehearsals for the Primary Musical are going along very well.  The students are learning their parts and working really hard to get ready for the show.  Its going to be terrific! Aarrrr!!!

Book Week
There are lots of fabulous activities planned for Book Week this year.  On Thursday morning we will have rotations of cross age literacy activities based on the CBA short listed books and on Friday we will have a special DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) session - don't forget your PJs and a gold coin donation for the Winter Sleepout for that one!

Swans
A family of Black Swans have nested on the lake.  All the rain this year has brought a lot of bird life back to our beautiful school.  If you get a chance, go and have a look.  The swans are nesting in some reeds near the chooks.  You can also observe the bird life from the 2 hides that have been built around the lake.  If you are in the neighbourhood of the chooks, pop over and say "hello" to the new calves on the farm.

Protect our seedlings!
Could you please bring in any clean plastic soft drink bottles that we can re-cycle into mini green/safe houses for our EcoKids' seedlings. We could also do with some crushed up eggshells to keep those dastardly snails at bay.
